Alaska has a unique, diverse and beautiful population and culture that highlights our Alaska Native population, the animals that are native to this state, Northern lights and all other types of things.   We are a gold rush state so Gold is a big deal here too.  I have included some places you can go to get souvenirs here in Fairbanks that include Alaska Native options, as well as general fun merchandise.

Places to Buy Gifts in Alaska

The Great Alaskan Bowl Company
(907) 474-9663
4630 Old Airport Rd, Fairbanks, AK 99709

A cute family run business sporting the only place to get these bowls.  It’s a really classy gift to send home to family, and they even deliver it for you.  They sport all kinds of fun Alaskan goodies and homemade birch candy! Which is really tasty and a bit addictive too.

Walmart
(907) 451-9900
537 Johansen Expy, Fairbanks, AK 99701

If you are looking for a place to get you a wide variety of random Alaskan gifts for your family back home, Walmart is probably the easiest to get to and has the biggest array of easy options.  I believe most of these things are made in china so I wouldn’t say they are “Alaska” per se but the gift/clothing/spice arrangements are a quick, nice option.

The Knotty Shop
(907) 488-3014
6565 Richardson Hwy, Salcha, AK 99714

This is a cute little family run place that has a lot of homemade gifts from Alaskans around the area.  It is a quaint little place, maybe 25 minutes out of town and worth checking out.  They even have cool art on the outside made with Knots from our homemade trees.

Arctic Travelers Gift Shop
(907) 456-7080
201 Cushman St, Fairbanks, AK 99701

This place is just great.  Its right behind the Marriott Suites downtown and boasts all the wonderful things of Alaska.  There are also a ton of home grown Alaskan jewelry and Alaskan items shops next to this into the CO-OP.  I recommend them!

The Craft Market Gift Shop
(907) 452-5495
401 5th Ave, Fairbanks, AK 99701

This is a home turned into a craft market shop.  It has a little bit of everything and even if you cant find anything you are looking for, it has such random odds and ends that its worth just looking around anyways.  Its located downtown on 5th Ave behind Aloha BBQ and Grill.
